Add an image to a PDF in four steps
- Open the PDF editor and choose your PDF.
- Click Image and choose a picture — or drag an image file straight onto the page where it should go.
- Drag the image into place and resize it with the corner handles. Lower the opacity if it should look like a watermark.
- Click Download to save the PDF.
Four ways to insert an image
- Image button — opens the file picker; the image appears in the middle of the visible page.
- Drag and drop — drop an image file onto a page and it is placed where you dropped it.
- Paste — copy an image or screenshot and press Ctrl+V in the editor.
- Start from a photo — drop a JPG, PNG, HEIC or WebP on the front page instead of a PDF. It opens on a blank A4 page as a normal image item, so you can resize, move or rotate it and add more content around it.
Positioning and sizing
A new image is sized to fit comfortably on the page. Drag a corner handle to resize it; the aspect ratio is always kept so the picture is not distorted. While you move it, alignment guides show when it lines up with the page center, the page edges or other items. Use the arrow keys for fine positioning.
Logos, stamps and watermarks
- For a logo on every page, add it once, press Ctrl+C, then click each page and press Ctrl+V — the copy is placed in the same position.
- For a watermark effect, lower the opacity to 20–30%.
- A stamp or signature photographed on white paper looks best as a PNG with a transparent background. For signatures, the Sign tool can remove the white background for you.
Privacy
The image is read and added to the PDF in your browser. Neither the image nor the document is uploaded anywhere.
